Stop Dangerous New Offshore Drilling

Offshore oil spills can kill marine life, devastate ocean environments and risk the livelihoods of coastal communities.

Together, we’ve protected much of the Atlantic and Arctic from dirty new drilling, but now those protections are at risk. With a new U.S. administration and political climate upon us, we must continue to make our voices heard to save dolphins, sea turtles and other marine life.

Tell your members of Congress, NO dangerous new offshore drilling and oil spills – uphold the protections we’ve won for the Atlantic and Arctic.

Dear Member of Congress:

As your constituent, I ask you to protect the Atlantic, Arctic and Pacific oceans from dangerous new offshore drilling.

After years of hard work, Oceana supporters like me recently helped remove the Atlantic and Arctic habitats from the five-year offshore drilling plan, protected important areas to combat climate change, and stopped seismic airgun blasting from proceeding in the Atlantic.

I urge you – as my voice in Congress – to defend our hard work. Offshore drilling leads to oil spills, and regardless of size oil spills do harm to marine life, marine ecosystems and the economies of coastal communities.

I call on you to uphold these landmark decisions for our economy and our environment. Please protect our coasts from dangerous offshore energy development.
