Tell the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games: It's time to ditch single-use plastic.

In 2028, millions of fans and athletes from around the world will come to Los Angeles for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Without a plan for reusable packaging, that celebration could leave behind mountains of disposable plastic cups, bottles, and food packaging, much of it ending up in landfills, littering local communities, and washing into our oceans.

It doesn't have to be this way. Paris 2024 showed that reuse at the Olympics is possible, serving beverages in reusable packaging on a scale never seen before at a sporting event. Now, LA28 organizers and major sponsors like Coca-Cola have the chance to go further and host an Olympic Games built on lasting reuse systems across venues, from the stands to the Olympic Village.

Reuse works. Oceana found that increasing reusable beverage packaging by just 10 percentage points globally by 2030 could eliminate more than 1 trillion single-use plastic bottles and cups and keep up to 153 billion of them out of our oceans and waterways.

Add your name: tell the LA28 Organizing Committee, venues, and sponsors to commit to a Games free of single-use plastic.
