HELP PROTECT MASSACHUSETTS FROM PLASTIC POLLUTION

Massachusetts’ beaches, waterways, and communities need you. Use your voice to fight plastic pollution in our beautiful state.

Plastic pollution threatens ocean wildlife. Along US coasts, Oceana found nearly 1,800 sea turtles and marine mammals had swallowed or were entangled in plastic between 2009-2020. Nearly 90% of these animals were endangered or threatened species.

Thankfully, in June, the Massachusetts Senate passed S. 2833, a bill that would ban carryout plastic bags at retail stores statewide, make straws and plastic utensils available by request only, and reduce other single-use plastics. Now the bill moves to the Massachusetts House where it needs to pass before the end of July.

By taking action right now, you can help protect our beaches and marine life from plastic pollution.

Tell your Massachusetts Representative to vote for S. 2833.
