2026 PLEDGE TO FIGHT PLASTIC POLLUTION 

A daily convenience. A growing crisis. Plastics are threatening our oceans at an alarming rate.  

From the deepest trenches in the ocean to the most remote places in the world – the pervasiveness of plastic is overwhelming. If nothing changes, the amount of plastic entering the ocean is projected to triple by 2040.   

But imagine a world where our oceans are teeming with life instead of plastic. A world where our beaches are pristine and our ecosystems are thriving without the constant threat of pollution.  

This vision is a future within reach – but only through collective effort. Will you pledge to help the oceans by tackling plastic pollution?  

YOU CAN:

• Bring reusable shopping or produce bags to the store. 

• Refuse single-use plastic utensils and food containers whenever possible and advocate for plastic-free alternatives.

• Contact your local, state, and federal officials and ask them to pass policies to reduce single-use plastic production and use.

• Encourage your club or organization to join our Clean Regattas sustainability certification program.

• Spread the word to get your friends and family involved!
