No Drilling in My Ocean
Offshore drilling destroys animals' homes
Each new oil rig approved by the government puts more marine animals at risk. From dolphins and beluga whales to walruses and sea turtles, ocean animals are threatened by drilling.
Where there is drilling, there is risk of oil spills as bad as or worse than the one that dumped more than 200 million gallons of toxic crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico.
Now Congress is looking to expand offshore drilling. The risk to our oceans is greater than the benefit. Don't let another oil spill happen on our watch.
Tell our government to say NO to expanding offshore drilling.
Dear Mr. President and Congress,
The 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill was proof positive that offshore drilling is dirty and dangerous. I support Oceana’s efforts to ban offshore drilling and bring offshore wind power to the East Coast to:
- Create renewable energy jobs
- Permanently prevent another major oil spill
- Protect coastal ecosystems and industries
I urge you to take a strong stand against offshore drilling and for offshore wind.
