Shell has already grounded one rig – What's going to happen next?

Drilling for oil in the Arctic Ocean is a disaster waiting to happen, but Shell continues on. Ever since Shell was given government approval to explore for oil in the Arctic Ocean, they have been plagued with mishaps, culminating in the drilling rig Kulluk running aground on New Year's Eve. Their next accident could be the one that spews oil into the fragile Arctic Ocean.

There could be no clearer sign that Shell is not prepared to drill in the harsh Arctic conditions. Another accident could put the lives of seals, beluga whales and polar bears at risk and could damage the fragile Arctic environment for decades to come.

Ask President Obama to protect  fragile Arctic habitats by preventing drilling in the Arctic Ocean until it can be done safely and responsibly.
