The BP oil spill spewed nearly 200 million gallons of toxic crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico, threatening the lives and livelihoods of thousands of animals and Gulf residents.
The clock is ticking - the Senate only has a few weeks left to respond to one of the worst environmental disasters in history. The House of Representatives passed the CLEAR Act and now it is up to the Senate to act, too.
